Welcome to Immanuel Lutheran School!
For over 70 years Immanuel has served students and families in the greater Memphis area.
From our beginning on Highland to our current facility on Raleigh LaGrange Road, Immanuel
has a proud tradition of delivering a well-rounded challenging academic program, while
ensuring the individual needs of each student are meet.
Immanuel has been Accredited by National Lutheran School Accreditation continually since 1991. This is a rigorous process ensuring the Immanuel meet all State and National Standards for Education. Maintaining accreditation ensures a school has an ongoing plan for school improvement. We are proud that our students go on to a variety of area high schools and beyond,well prepared to be successful global citizens.
Immanuel is a school for “Achievers and Believers”. A school where every student experiences a Christ-centered education delivered by highly qualified and dedicated Christian educators. Immanuel encourages every student to be actively engaged in their academics. We offer a variety of programs to prepare students to become critical thinkers, preparing them to tackle the ever changing world around them.

Faith
Since our founding in 1947, nurturing an individual’s Faith in God has been our number one priority. Our dedicated faculty and staff strive daily to provide a place and the opportunities for a child to grow spiritually through everyday application of God’s Word. We partner with families to teach children about Jesus and living the Christian Life. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Our student body is made up 35% of the Lutheran faith and 65% of other Christian churches. Our faculty and staff respect and understand the views and traditions of various denominations. At Immanuel we are blessed to have a diverse make up of families and always focus and keep Jesus Christ at the center of our instruction.
Family
Parenting is not easy. The saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” has rung true in my life, as I have strived to raise my two boys. Today families face many challenges in a world that is changing at a faster and faster pace. Immanuel partners with families to equip and prepare students for the future.
We embrace the opportunity to speak into each other’s lives through prayer and words of encouragement. Together, as one voice, speaking words of strength to tackle new challenges. Giving our children the courage and foundation to stand for what is right, and producing within them an attitude of integrity.
Future
When we think about the future, it may cause a variety of emotions. One thing I am sure, is as parents, each of us dream of a future for our children that is full of happiness and success. Everyone has special gifts and talents in which God has blessed them. At Immanuel the faculty and staff strive to strengthen those gift while providing education and opportunities to develop other necessary skill for a successful future. You and your family are precious to God and to everyone here at Immanuel. Together we know the future is full of opportunity.
