| DRESS CODE |
| Personal appearance is important at school and at school-sponsored activities. Students are expected to dress neatly, modestly, appropriately, and to be clean and well groomed. ILS students take pride in their appearance and present themselves as a God-pleasing witness to others. The following guidelines have been reviewed by the faculty, parents, and School Board. The School Board has approved these guidelines for our students in Grades K-8. |
| SCHOOL UNIFORM (Purchased from Parker School Uniforms) |
| Short or long-sleeved knit shirts with Immanuel Lutheran School monogram.
Shirt colors may be selected from solid navy blue, solid red, or solid hunter
green. Shirts in solid white and solid yellow may be purchased while supplies
last. Classic cotton twill pleated slacks or pleated dress shorts in khaki or navy blue *(see below) OPTIONAL: Cardigan sweater in navy blue or white Navy sweatshirt with Immanuel Lutheran School monogram OPTIONAL FOR GIRLS: Jumper #660, skirt, or culottes to be worn with any of the knit shirts listed above OR round-collar yellow blouse (Grades K-4) or oxford yellow blouse (Grades 5 - 8) OPTIONAL FOR BOYS: White or yellow oxford shirt (button-down collar) AND necktie |

| *Slacks or shorts: “French Toast” classic cotton twill slacks or dress
shorts in khaki or navy blue (must look like Parker slacks/shorts in fabric, color, and style) may be purchased from a store of your choice Other brands, such as Dockers or Duck Head, are not approved dress code items. Belt: black, brown, or navy (solid colors only; no ornamentation) Shoes: athletic/tennis shoes OR "dress" shoes- loafers or tie/buckle shoes. NO OPEN TOES OR OPEN HEELS ARE PERMITTED. Socks: white or colored. Girls may wear hose or tights in white, navy blue, hunter green, yellow, or neutral (skin tone) colors |

| New for 2006-2007: An official PE uniform (shorts and t-shirt) must be purchased from ILS. |

| GENERAL GUIDELINES |
1) Jumper, skirt, culottes, and shorts hemlines should be knee-length 2) No hats, caps, or other headgear are allowed 3) Hair is to be neat and clean, kept out of the eyes, and not causing any distraction in the classroom 4) Boys' hair may not touch the collar of the shirt 5) No excessive jewelry or make-up may be worn 6) Boys may not wear earrings 7) Facial or body jewelry and tattoos are not permitted This list is not an all-inclusive list, but serves as a guideline for appropriate dress. The School Board retains the right to make adjustments as needed during the school year. |
